Germany based Birgit & Claus Hartmann have created a vast number of the finest sculptures afloat. Their setting, “the North Sea shore”, where a unique vision of an ancient art appears, – the carving of Ship Figureheads -, fixed upon the bow of some of the world’s most prominent vessels.

As internationally acclaimed ship carvers and maritime artists they are renowned for their serious artistic dedication and their responsiveness to the customers wishes in order to produce the finest and most individualized statues today.

What initially began with the carving of wooden ship’s figureheads for traditional sailing vessels, such as Royal Clipper, Sea Cloud, Alexander von Humboldt II, and others, soon developed into new levels of artistic work.
